McKINNEY (May 27, 2016) — Creating In Cahoots has been hustling since they received the keys to their building this past April. Their coworking studio needed furniture, office supplies and a lot of added character. The furniture and supplies were the easy part, but injecting a blank space with their unique character was the tough part. They quickly brought in two artists from Ft. Worth to create their inaugural chalk and paint murals. These mural walls are just the beginning of CIC’s bi-monthly rotating murals, a way to bring new and vibrant art into the space for all to enjoy.

After adding their handmade furniture, outfitting the walls with amazing art from local artists and building too many office chairs late into the evening, they were ready to open their doors to the public. Their grand opening party was held on Saturday, May 21 at their coworking studio at 1827 W. Louisiana St.

The crew behind Creating In Cahoots had quite the gathering. They had a bounce house to help keep the kids wrangled so parents and adults alike had a chance to have ‘normal’ conversation.

Stonebridge Videography

Franconia Brewing Company and TUPPS Brewery both donated some of their tasty beverages to the event, giving attendees a taste of local McKinney brews. A 3D Scanning demo was a great taste of what their 3D Printing Workshop will entail come Saturday, June 4. Lastly, Bruce Quernemoen of Stonebridge Videography was on hand to document the great event.

Creating In Cahoots is looking forward to bring a brick and mortar space to help the McKinney Creative Community grow and flourish. They’re coworking memberships are a great way to have a community above what a coffee shop or your house can offer. They’re workshops will bring new and fun ventures to help educate and grow all creatives. They’re mentors, members and owners also want to share all of their years of knowledge in multiple forms of media creation.
