Blue Star Land today announced Bank of America as the first tenant that will work out of The Star, the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters that opened in July 2016.
As the official bank of the Dallas Cowboys since 2003, Bank of America will expand its partnership with the Jones family entities by opening slightly more than 60,000 square feet of office space in The Star that will span across two floors.
“We are pleased to be the first tenants at The Star, which expands our longstanding business relationship with the Jones family,” said Richard Holt, Dallas Market President, Bank of America. “This new location is part of our strategy to co-locate our Merrill Lynch, U.S. Trust, Global Commercial Banking and Business Banking teams so they can better collaborate and deepen client relationships.”
Specific to the North Texas market, the location supports Bank of America’s overall growth strategy and allows it to improve office utilization.
The Star includes 398,000 square feet across 8 floors of Class A commercial office space. Bank of America is slated to move about 200 employees into the building in the first quarter of 2017.
“Including nearly 400,000 square feet of commercial office space at The Star allows us to attract some of North Texas’ finest businesses to be our neighbors in Frisco,” said Stephen Jones, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Blue Star Land. “It’s also exciting to think the Dallas Cowboys will share such a world-class facility with Bank of America.”
The Star is the World Headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys situated on a 91-acre mixed-used development featuring shopping, dining, nightlife, athletic, fitness, event and hotel options, as well as a sports therapy and research campus. The multi-million dollar facility houses Dallas Cowboys business and football operations as well as host team practices. All Frisco ISD high school football teams will play home games at The Star and the complex is a first-of-its-kind partnership between the Cowboys, City of Frisco and Frisco ISD. The Star Kickoff presented by Whataburger, a quadruple-header high school football marathon, will mark the first event at The Star on August 27, 2016.
Commercial office space at The Star was designed by Gensler and limited space is still available via Lincoln Property Company (214-740-3300). The Cowboys will continue to announce additional tenants within The Star in the coming months.
