PLANO — Albin Yates Balius Roach is proud to announce that Sharon Corsentino has been named its newest partner. Albin Roach partners, associates and staff celebrated the news at a recent company event.
Sharon Corsentino is a 1995 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and a 2003 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. She is licensed to practice in Texas state courts, in the federal district courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Sharon was previously employed with Albin Roach from 2004 to 2011 and returned to the firm in 2012.
Sharon is an experienced collaborative law attorney, mediator and litigator who works primarily in the areas of family law, probate and estate planning. She handles a variety of cases including divorce, child custody, child support, adoption, termination, parentage, estate planning and probate. Sharon’s non-adversarial approach to divorce focuses on maintaining long-term family relationships and keeping children’s best interests at heart. In the event a case is not settled through the collaborative process or in mediation, Sharon draws on her experience as a litigator.
Sharon is recognized regularly by the Dallas-Fort Worth legal community for professional excellence. She was named a “Rising Star” in 2012 and 2013 by Texas Super Lawyers, and this year was named to the 2014 Texas Super Lawyers list.
Sharon is a former adjunct faculty member of the Conflict Management and Dispute Resolution Program at El Centro College, a part of the Dallas County Community College District, and is currently teaching family law mediation at the University of North Texas, in addition to her practice.
