Five popular authors, all with ties to Texas, will soon convene at Wylie's Smith Public Library to share tea with friends and fans and sign copies of their books.

The Summer Author Tea begins at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 17, followed by a book signing at 2:30. Deborah Crombie, Elizabeth Essex, Rebecca Adler, who also writes as Gina Lee Nelson, Sara Rosett, and Barb Han will all be on hand for tea and conversation.

The tea is for age 16 and older; register at WylieTexas.gov/library or call 972-516-6250, option 3. There is no age minimum for the book signing, and no registration is required. There is no charge to attend the tea or signing; staff from Barnes & Noble will be on hand to sell copies of the authors' books, and sales will support the Friends of the Library support group. Attendees may also bring their own copies.

Smith Library is located at 300 Country Club Rd., Bldg. 300, Wylie. For more information, visit WylieTexas.gov/library or call 972-516-6250.
