Matilda! Bring It On! Pinkalicious! And More!

At Ovation we focus on the growth of each participant and creating an enjoyable, low-stress, high-energy experience for our students. We are proud to say that there is no drama off stage at Ovation Academy! We have created a family atmosphere where love and light shine! These kids truly root for one another and understand that they can ALL achieve their dreams. One does not get ahead by pushing others down but by helping to raise others up to reach the top together. We equip our students to be good-hearted people as well as hard-working professionals and respectable leaders. Ovation Academy of Performing Arts is offering two fantastic mainstage productions and multiple camps this summer for all ages!

To provide a HOME for artists to pursue their passions through professional training in the performing arts.

Matilda the Musical will be a quick 5-week production which will perform July 5-7 at Vintage Church, 107 E. Lamar St. McKinney, TX.

Matilda is a little girl with astonishing wit, intelligence and psychokinetic powers. She's unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey. Over the course of her first term at school, Matilda and Miss Honey have a profound effect on each other's lives, as Miss Honey begins not only to recognize but also appreciate Matilda's extraordinary personality. Matilda's school life isn't completely smooth sailing, however – the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don't abide by
her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils' saving grace!

Bring It On! the Musical will be a summer-long production which will perform August 23-25 at Church Street Auditorium 306 N. Church St. McKinney, TX

Bitingly relevant, sprinkled with sass and inspired by the hit film, Bring It On The Musical takes audiences on a high-flying journey that is filled with the complexities of friendship, jealousy, betrayal and forgiveness. Campbell is cheer-royalty at Truman High School and her senior year should prove the most cheertastic – she's been named captain of the squad! But, an unexpected redistricting has forced her to spend her final year of high school at the neighboring hard-knock Jackson High School. Despite having the deck stacked against her, Campbell befriends the dance crew girls and, along with their headstrong and hardworking leader, Danielle, manages to form a powerhouse squad for the ultimate competition – the National Championships.
