McKinney Repertory Theatre (MRT) presents “The Mousetrap” May 10 – May 18, 2019 in the Courtroom Theatre at the McKinney Performing Arts Center (MPAC). Performance times are 8 p.m. on May 10, 11, 17 and 18, with a matinee at 3:00 p.m. on May 12 and 18.

Join us for a night of mystery and suspense as MRT presents “The Mousetrap,” a classic murder mystery by Agatha Christie.  This play has the distinction of being the longest continuously running play in history. It has been running in London's West End since 1952, and had its 25,000th performance in 2012.

A group of strangers are stranded in a boarding house during a snowstorm.  Into their midst comes a policeman (Aaron Adair), traveling on skis. He is investigating a mysterious murder that took place not far from the boarding house.  To get to the rationale of the murderer's pattern, the policeman probes into the background of everyone present, rattling a lot of skeletons.   The suspects include a newly married couple (Hannah Alford and Jared Seman) whose suspicious minds nearly wreck their perfect marriage, a spinster (Keaton Patterson) with a curious background, an architect (Rickey Wax) who seems better equipped to be a chef, a retired Army major (Patrick Vincent), a strange little man (Dale Gutt) who claims his car has overturned in a drift, and a jurist (Jana Talbert) who makes life miserable for everyone.

Jennifer Lee is making her producing debut with The Mousetrap. MRT veteran, Lindsey Humphreys, is director. Marilyn Latham is Assistant Director.  Doug Latham is Stage Manager and Sound Designer.  Other crew members are: Liz Rogers (Costume Design and Seamstress), Christopher Tully (Lighting Design/Light board Operator), Chad Carter and Jenna Lee (Stage Crew), Jennifer Lee (Photographer), and Dave Tenney (Scenic Designer and Master Carpenter.)
