The McKinney Ladies Association will tour the Central Fire Station and Fire Museum in January during the group’s next meeting. The public is welcome to attend.

The tour is set for 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14 at the Wysong Central Fire Station and Fire Museum, 301 N. McDonald St. in McKinney. The Fire Museum features exhibits about the history of the city’s fire department and honors all McKinney firefighters who have dedicated their lives to serving and protecting the community. For details, please go online to mckinneytexas.org and click on “Fire Department.”

For MLA’s January outreach project, meeting attendees are asked to bring “re-gift” items for the March 4 fashion show and silent auction. Attendees are also asked to bring gift cards to area grocery stores that will be donated to the McKinney Fire Department to help buy firefighters’ meals, which they prepare on their own during each shift.
