You don’t have to be legal, blonde or a fan of Broadway to enjoy McKinney Boyd’s 2012 fall musical. Finding her way — while staying true to herself — are just a couple of life lessons in store for Elle Woods, the leading lady in Boyd’s upcoming stage production of “Legally Blonde, The Musical.”

This Tony Award-winning musical is based on the hit movie of the same name, starring Reese Witherspoon. It’s a feel-good musical comedy that takes you from the sorority halls of UCLA to the hallowed corridors of Harvard Law School.

More than 500 students and staff are pitching in to produce this charming, family-friendly musical. The show features Boyd Principals Rick McDaniel and Jennifer Peirson, as well as debut performances by Bruiser the Chihuahua and Rufus the Bulldog.

"Phantom of the Opera" — last year’s smash hit — played to more than 5,000 theater-goers, and this year’s musical promises to be equally spectacular.

The cast, production crew and theater teachers invite the public to make your way to the music hall so you don't miss the chance to see “Legally Blonde, The Musical” at the Boyd Theatre.
