Collin College's Department of Theatre will present a two-week run of the musical “Les Misérables,” starting Thursday, Feb. 26 at the John Anthony Theatre on the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Pkwy. in Plano. The production is part of the 2014-2015 Collin Theatre Center Season.

According to Director Brad Baker, “Les Misérables” is the biggest and most demanding show Collin College has ever produced. It will feature a cast of 61 singers, actors and dancers, along with an orchestra of 16 musicians and more than two dozen backstage crew members.

“We have an amazing group of students with pop voices at Collin College,” Baker, a professor of theater at Collin, said. “This was the perfect production to showcase these incredible voices."

Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg’s musical, based on Victor Hugo’s classic novel, “Les Misérables,” is an uplifting story about the human spirit and one man’s journey to redemption. The score includes the classic songs “I Dreamed a Dream,” “On My Own,” “Stars,” “Bring Him Home,” “Do You Hear the People Sing?,” “One Day More,” “Empty Chairs at Empty Tables,” “Master Of The House” and many more.

Show times are:
