A progressive and innovative city embraces the value of art. McKinney’s thriving art community is growing, and McKinney Magazine is a proud supporter. Programs like the 11th Annual Photography Contest provide the opportunity to showcase local talent.

Talented photographers from the community took part in this year's photo contest, and droves of photos arrived in our offices. McKinney Magazine received photography of landscapes, children, abstracts, animals, stormy night skies, parched landscapes, the Historic Downtown Square – the list goes on. We would like to thank our judges, sponsor and all who submitted entries. Their contributions are deeply appreciated. Congratulations to our winners!

A little something extra: As McKinney Magazine recognized the winners during an unveiling and reception, we were delighted to learn that a mentor and her up-and-coming photography pupil had both placed first in their respective categories. Danielle Bryan, who placed first in the Over 18 category, is the mentor of Hallie Brady, who placed first in the 18 & Younger category. It was a moment of serendipity that even our photography contest judges had not known.
